April 3, 1972 <br />The regular meeting of the City of Everett Board of Adjustment was held at <br />7:30 p. m. , April 3, 1972, in the City Hail Council Chambers, City Hall, Everett, <br />Washington. <br />Mr. Graff presided. Mr. Ingram and Mr. Dickson were present. Mr. Cronin <br />and Mr. Champion were absent. <br />The reading of the minutes of the February 7, 1972 was dispensed with. <br />A hearing was held on the application of Mr. Alfred Cooper, 5101 • 27th Avenue <br />West, Everett, Washington, for a variance from the R-S, Single Family Suburban <br />Residential Zone requirement of a 7z foot side yard setback to allow him to <br />build within five (5) feet of the side yard property line. Seaview Heights, Block 2, <br />west 324 feet of Lot 8 measured along south property line., <br />After visual observation of the subject property, and considering all the facts and <br />testimony, it was moved by Mr. Dickson, seconded by Mr. Ingram, and unan- <br />imously carried to grant the applicant's request for the following reasons: <br />1) The proposed storage shed was started before the area was rezoned. <br />2) To locate the shed elsewhere would damage the applicant's property. <br />3) There will be no view obstruction and the shed will.not be detrimental <br />to the surrounding area._ <br />4) The granting of the variance will not adversely affect the comprehensive <br />general plan. <br />As a condition on the granting of this variance, <br />The shed must meet all city code requirements and be completed by <br />April 10, 1973. <br />1) <br />the following stipulation was made: <br />A hearing was held on the application of Ronald Kane, 4532 Evergreen Way <br />(A & W Drive -In), Everett, Washington for a variance from the twenty (20) <br />foot front yard setback required in a B-1, Neighborhood Shopping Zone, to <br />allow him to build on the front property line. "hat portion of Lot 9, Block 22, <br />Victory Heights Addition, Snohomish County Washington, lying cast of a line. <br />drawn from a point 104 feet cast of the N.W. corner of said lot perpendicular to <br />the south boundary line to an intersection therewith, (4532 Evergreen Way, <br />Everett, Washington). <br />After visually viewing the subject property, and considering all the testimony <br />given, it was moved by Mr. Ingram, seconded by Mr. Dickson, and unanimously <br />carried to grant the applicant's request for the following reasons: <br />1) The parcel lies in a spot zone designated B-1, whereas all other parcels <br />along Evergreen Way are zoned B-2 or C-1, which have no setback. <br />
