March 8, 2010 <br />Martin Barr <br />4602 S 3rd Street <br />Everett WA 98203 <br />Subject: Project: Barr <br />Job Address: 4602 S 3rd'Street <br />Plan Check No: B0911-020 <br />Dear Mr. Barr: <br />In response to your application for a construction permit, your plans have been examined and <br />you are advised that the issuance of a permit is being withheld for the reasons listed below. <br />These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions may be required <br />by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the (2006 <br />International Building Code,) (2006 International Residential Code,) as amended by the State of <br />Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 2006 Edition, and adopted by the City of <br />Everett. unless stated otherwise. <br />In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide <br />the Building; Division with avo new complete sets of drawings reflecting the corrections <br />requested. <br />1. Incorporate all engineering into construction drawings. Provide wet stamp on <br />construction drawings, or provide letter from structural engineer that the plans <br />conform with the calculations. <br />2. Provide foundation plan that clearly indicates the scope of the work being done <br />under this permit. Do not include any future work (Phase 2) with this submittal. <br />3. Label all spaces, show how area under deck is accessed. <br />4. Show all framed walls proposed under this permit on plans. Provide section and/or <br />details to clearly show construction of framed walls. <br />5. The plans show a restrained foundation wall detail. It appears this would be <br />applicable in less than 20% of the length of the south wall. Provide detail(s) for <br />retaining wall(s) that is/are rt restrained at the top. <br />6. Show the finished grade on elevation drawings. <br />7. Roofs and decks are required to be positively anchored to the primary structure and <br />designed for both vertical and lateral loads.
