public hearing or even notice given to the neighbors. Again, why the difference in
treatment?
With your letter, you sent copies of many documents including fortns for proposed sewer
connection in 1964, water installation work order (date blurred and not filled in or signed
to show it was done), a letter written in 1973 from the City to a property owner regarding
a check written on an account which was closed, and an investigation report for a
complaint about junk on the property (1g75). I do not understand why you sent these
documents to me. They are not pertinent to my letter in any way,
You also sent a copy of a 1981 application for construction permit to build a duplex and
an application for right-of-way use permit for the sar:e duplex, which was not issued.
Again, I do not see what bearing these have on the current issue. There is a huge
difference between one duplex and several houses. That duplex was never built.
In your letter, you stated that the site contained drainage. On Saturday, September 21,
we had a rain storm. The drain in front of our neighbor's home became clogged, mostly
from concrete and dirt washed down from the construction site. This homP owner is
partially disabled and was having difficulty getting around on a street filled with muddv
water. My husband cleared the drain. If he had not been able to do this, her front yard
and probably her house would have been flooded with muddy water from the
construction site. It would appear the drainage on the site is not adequate. And, only
three houses out of the seven are partially built at this time. Just think what we have to
look forward to when the winter rains really come!
While it was good to receive a response to my letter to the Mayor, I wish someone
would take the time and effort to listen to what I am asking and respod to that. I feel
your letter was an attempt to placate me. I'm sorry, it did not. I am still angry with the
City, not cnly for ailowing this developer to break the rules, but for what appears to be
the City breaking the rules itself. Until someone responds to the real issues, I will not be
satisfied.
Sincerely,
 ^ / . , '
oc'"`U`'; %Fyli'.`z c
GladyM.
