The 2-story, wood framed building was constructed over a basement. Apparently the fire started in the basement, at the gas hot water heater, and travelad to the attic through the water heater vent chase. Fire damage members were visible in the basement floors and pony walls, a small portion of the second floor, and in the roof rafters. The following mernbers reGuire replacement: •(18) double 2x6 DF#2 floor joists south of the main floor beam and (2) double floor joists north of the main floor beam. (2) 2x6 DF#2 @ 16" o/c is properly sized fro the span. • The west 25 feet of the 6x6 main floor beam must be replaued. The maximum span for the beam is 10'-0". With a tributary width of 11'-0", a 6x10 DF#1 is required. • Floor sheathing has been charred over approximately 40 % of the main floor area and must be replaced as required. • 5 of the lower level pony wall studs have been charred along Qhe south perimeter and must be replaced. • The 2nd floor joist and sheathing on either side of the water heater flu chase has been burned and must be replaced. • 9 rafters on the south side of the roof must be replaced. 1x4 skip she2thing over the rafters must also be replaced. The plywood sheathing over the skip sheathing could not be inspected, and should be replaced as required. Please contact this office if you have any questions conceming this rep Ve t yo �� .
