On liarch 22, 1972 the ovner, Mr. Vernon Swithson promiaed [o decwliah the structure. h'hen no action vas started, we again contacted the ower on June 15, 1972. fle again atatgd that he van going to demolish the structure and 5113� South 4eh Avenue also. The owner [hen engaged another par[y to atart demoli[ion woric. We observed demolition being done in July 1972. 'f:iis wrk stopped in September 1972 after 5113� Sauth 4th Av.nw: was demolished. Our attempta to contact the owner by ordinary meane has been fruitlees. Our mos[ rec�nt at[empt was by certified letter on Aprii 6, 1973. Thie letter xus returned unclaimed. iZe have advertised our intent to abate the structure. and have given the interested parties thirl•y (30) to appear befoxe the council. The intent of thie memo is to brief the Couocil of the eituetion in the event ehnt Mr. Smithsoa uppeurs before the S:ocucil.
