( <br /> Geotechnical Engineering Services Report <br /> Proposed SERS Public Safety 9-1-1 Communication Tower <br /> 3702 Tulalip Avenue, Everett (Rucker Hill), Snohomish County, Washington <br /> PSI Report No. 704-05224-5 <br /> December 26, 2000 <br /> 1.0 introduction <br /> Professional Service Industries, Inc. (PSI) has conducted a geotechnical evaluation for the <br /> above-referenced project site in general accordance with the scope of work as outlined in our <br /> Proposai No. 704-00-P133 to Mr. Ron Ottosen of Valmont Microflect, Inc. (VMI), dated <br /> November 7, 2000. <br /> 2.0 Proposed Construction <br /> Project information was provided by Mr. Ottosen and Mr. Steven Diamond of Tower Engineering <br /> Consultanls, Inc. (TEC). We understand construction will consist of installing one 300-foot tall <br /> guyed communication tower and an associaled Iightly loaded, single-story equipment building west <br /> of the existing City of Everett reservoir facility. Tower infortnat�on provided by Mr. Ottosen is <br /> summarized below: <br /> Tower Structure Type Guyed <br /> Tuwer Height 300 feet <br /> Tower Foundation Preference Mat or drilled pier at base, <br /> anchor blocks at guys <br /> Grading plans are not known at this time and we have assumed cuts and fills will be limited to 2 <br /> feet from existing grade. <br /> 3.0 Scope of Work <br /> The purpose of our evaluation was to assess the subsurface soil conditions at the site ir order to <br /> provide appropriate recommendations for site preparation and foundation design.
