Tim
-----Original Message-----
From: Tony Lee
Sent: Tuesday, May 14, 2002 11:49 AM
To: Tim Tyler
Cc: Steve Miller
Subect: Stop Work Order
Importance: High
Tim, I would Iike to suggest a different course of action for the stop work order that is in effect for:
Dynasty Homes
4-Plex
4823 Vesper Drive
Permit#B0202-009
POC: Jeff Grey
We require an engineer who will act as the Engineer of Record (EOR) per Section 106.3.4. The EOR would also be
required to pertorm Structural Observation as per Section 1707. The EOR would not be required to countersign any
existing plans or catculations, only submit in writing that they have reviewed them and that the building complies with
all applicable codes. This EOR is then responsible for the project and we will receive a report from them upon
structural completion.
I don't believe this violates any code of ethics for the design professionals, or the City-and Codispoti Consulting
Company is no longer held liable for the design submitted.
Upon receipt of such lelter from the EOR, the project may resume construction.
Tony.
i
