Apri1 3, 1968 <br /> City of Evere!t <br /> Planning Engincer's Office <br /> Everett, Washington <br /> Attn: Larry Callahan <br /> Gentlemen <br /> Pursuant to our recenc telephone conversation regarding expiration of <br /> the validity of a variance, J am writing this letter on Uehalf of <br /> Myron Carlson and myself concerning a variance appro� and issued <br /> to us as of April 3, 19G7, by the Board of Adjustment. <br /> We request the variance Ue extended for a period of six months for the <br /> following reasons: <br /> 1 . In order to Ue aUle to securc. underground wirir.g from the <br /> P.U.11., it was necessary for us to enlarge the terms of <br /> the existing easement for ingress a.nd egress to include the <br /> right to use the same easement for insYallation of utilities . <br /> The property ovcr v�hich our easement crosses was being <br /> administered by the Trest Department of a local bank. The <br /> process of securing a valid easement from the bank was <br /> rather time consumin9 and resulted in unavoidable delay <br /> in our being aUle to ��rovide marketable title to any <br /> prospective purchaser. The easement was recorded on <br /> March 1 , 1968. <br /> 2 , We are ^urrently negotiating a sale to a local buildcr, who, <br /> I am confident, if he purchases the property, will build two <br /> fine residences on the property in the near future . <br /> Based upon the above facts, we hereby request the variance be pxtended <br /> as outlined above. /� <br /> / <br /> Sincere , <br /> / <br /> D�LL J.
