Graff presided. Mr. IIerg, t•Sr. Uaird, and Mr. Cronin werc <br />present. <br />The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting were dispen:sed with. <br />Hearing held on the requcst of Gary R. Swanson, 306 - 170th P1. <br />Sothel]., S9ashington for a variance from Section 15.04.075 E.C.C. <br />(Zoning Code) Yard Requi.rements, Subsection 1. to construct a <br />sinql.e family residence to �aithin forty (40) feet of the center- <br />line of the right-oi-way rather than the required fifty-five (55) <br />fec;t from centerline of the right-of--way. Lot 12, IIlock 6, Shore <br />Acres Addition. <br />After hearing testimony on this request, it was regularly moved, <br />seconded, and unaninously carried to deny the reguested variance <br />for tt.� following reasons: <br />1. Large lot is available and no need shown that, unless the <br />house was moved closer to C7ave Drive than the code permitted, <br />a hardship would ensue to the owner. <br />2. Also, the City Enginee� indicated that they would pre�cr <br />to have adequate setback i:o insure possibility of thc <br />eventual widening of iGave Drive. <br />'Hearing he:9 on the application of Roger S9o11, 1807 Vi'rginia, �o� <br />a variance from Section 15.04.030 E.C.C. Lots 3 and 5, IIlock 360, �verett Di.vision "P". <br />It was regularly move3, seconded, and unanimously carried to <br />a+:ant the requested variancc for the following reasons: <br />l. There are othar houses in the same area that are built <br />as cl.osc to the property line as requested by rir. Sdoll. <br />2.
