THF BUILDING COMMITTEE <br />AGREED THAT THE EXPANSION WOULD NOT BE SUFFICIENT TO <br />SOLVE THE CROWDING PROBLEM AND THE MONEY WASTED. <br />A SEF.RCH POR LAND ON WHICH TO BUILD OR AN EXISTING <br />VACANT CHURCH FOR SALE WAS MADE. THE COST' OP LAND <br />AND NEW CONSTRUCTION IS PROHIBITIVE FOR THIS MODEST <br />CONGREGATION AND THE LOCATION WOULU PR08ABLY BE <br />INCONVENIENT. REMODELING A VACANT CHURCH WAS EELT TO <br />ALSO BE OUTSIDE THE BUDGET (IF SPACE COULD BE FOUND, <br />WHICH IT WASN'T). THE PRESENT LOCATION IS IDEAL FOR <br />THIS GROUP, IT IS LOCATED IN THE HEART OF THE EXIST- <br />ING INFRASTRUCTURE AND IS CONVENIENT '1�0 THE PARISH- <br />IONERS. THE CONGREGATION OF SECON� BAPTIST CHURCH <br />REQUESTS RELAXATION OF THE 258 MAXIMU� ALLOWED EXPAN- <br />SION TO RELIEVE A HARDSHIP THAT COULD MAKE CONTINUA- <br />'PION QUESTIONABLE. <br />THE EXPANSION WOULD INCLUDE MODEST URESSING UP OF THE <br />BUILDING EXTERIOR AND LANDSCAPING. THE NEIGHBOKHOOD <br />WOUI.D BE IMPROVED BY THE PRO�ECT. OTHER PROPERTIES <br />IN THE VICINITY HAVE BUILT TO THE ALLEY WITHOUT <br />AFFECTING ITS USE FUR UTILITIES AND DELIVERIES. <br />� <br />
