Openings along the east wall must be protected. Table SA. 2. Daycare, kindergarten, lst or 2nd grade class rooms (any class room use with children under age S) are not allowed in basements. Sec. 802(c). 3. Occupancy load signs are required for nave, classrooms and multi-purpose rooms with an occupan[ load over 50. Sec. 3302(c). 4. The stairs to the basement and baptistery must have handrails on both sides. One handrail must extend 12" beyond [he top riser and 23" beyond the bottom riser. Sec.3306(i). 5.
