Unit frames <br />are constructed of 14 gauge <br />welded galvanized steel with 14 <br />and 16 gauge galvanized steel <br />panels and access doors. The Lnit <br />surface is.phosphatized and <br />finished with an air-dry paint to <br />withstand 672 hours of <br />continuous salt spray solution in <br />accordance with ASTM B117. <br />Decorative louvered panels <br />Provide condenser coil protection. <br />Compressors <br />Trane 3-D Scroll compressors <br />have simple mechanical design <br />with only three (3) major moving <br />Parts. Scroll type compression <br />Provides inherently low vibration. <br />3-D compressors provide a <br />completely enclosed compression <br />chamber with no leakage paths <br />and the ability to separate the <br />Plates to allow liquid refrigerant to <br />pass through without damage to <br />the compressor. The compressor <br />is suction gas cooled, direct drive, <br />3600 RPM hermetic motors. The <br />Scroll compressor includes a <br />centrifugal oil pump, oil level sight <br />glass, and an oil charging valve. <br />Unit Control <br />Factory provided 115-volt control <br />circuit includes fusing and control <br />Power transformer. The unit is <br />wired with magnetic contactors for <br />compressor and co idensPr <br />motors, three -leg sc.'Id state <br />compressor overload protection, <br />and high/low pressure cutouts. <br />Differential oil pressure control is <br />provided with continuous solid- <br />state memory to detect fluctuating <br />and/or low oil pressure. Charge <br />isolation, reset relay and anti - <br />recycle compressor timer is <br />provided. Across -the -line start is <br />standard. <br />Condenser Fans <br />Condenser fans are direct driven <br />with motors having thermal <br />overload protection and <br />permanently lubricated ball <br />bearings. <br />Single Refrigerant Circuit <br />w/Two Capacity Steps (2030 <br />Ton) <br />Each unit has a single <br />refrigeration circuit with two (2) <br />compressors manifolded together <br />utilizing a passive oil system. <br />Each unit has two capacity <br />stages Capacity modulation is <br />Trane System Submittal <br />accomplished by turning <br />compressors on and off. <br />No System Control <br />No system control provides the <br />compressors wired to a terminal <br />strip inside the control panel. The <br />temperature controller must be <br />field provided and installed. <br />Standard Ambient Control <br />Standard ambient control allows <br />unit operation from 40 F to 115 F <br />(4.5 to 46.1 C). <br />suction Service Valve on <br />Packed Stock Units <br />This unit includes a refrigerant <br />shut off valve to isolate the <br />compressor for servicing. <br />Single Circuited, Aluminum Fin <br />Condenser Coils (20-30 Ton) <br />Condenser coils are single circuit <br />having configured aluminum fins <br />mechanically bonded to seamless <br />copper tubing with an integrated <br />subcooler. The coils are burst <br />tested and leak tested underwater <br />at 450 psig (3102.8 kPa). Factory <br />installed liquid line service valves <br />are standard. <br />Page 3 of 6 <br />
