-> <br />September 11, 1972 <br />The regular meeting of the City of Everett Board of Adjustment was held at <br />7:30 p.m. , September 11, 1972, in the City Hall Council Chambers, City Hall, <br />Everett, Washington. <br />Mr. Graff presided. Mr. Ingram, Mr. Cronin, Mr. Dickson, and Mr. Champion <br />were present. <br />The reading of the minutes of the July 10, 1972 meeting was dispensed with. <br />A hearing was held on the application of Mr. H. M. Stenwick, 2029 Walnut, <br />Everett, for a variance from Section 15. 04. 060 E. C. C. (Zoning Ordinance) non- <br />conforming uses for permission to install a new sign on an existing non -conform- <br />ing business. Lots 1 & 2, Block 412, St. Nicholas Addition (2029 Walnut). <br />After visual observation of the subject property and considering all the facts <br />and testimony, it was moved by Mr. Cronin, seconded by Mr. Ingram, and unan- <br />imously carried to grant the applicant's request for the following reasons: <br />1. The new sign will not be detrimental to the neighborhood as it is replacing <br />a similar existing sign. <br />Z. The new sign will be against the present building so there will be no sight <br />obstruction. <br />3. The granting of the variance will not adversely affect the Comprehensive <br />Plan. <br />A hearing was held on the application of Carruthers and Whitehead, 1400 Block <br />Mukilteo Boulevard, Everett for a variance from Section 15. 04. 050 E. C. C. <br />(Zoning Code) General Provisions - Land Use for permission to utilize a tract <br />of land for a residential building site which does not abut for a minimum of forty <br />(40) feet on a public dedicated street. <br />A portion of Lot 4, Plat of Maple Heights; commencing at the Northeast <br />corner Lot 4 said Plat of Maple Heights; Thence north 55' 6' 38" west <br />for 75 feet; thence South 34' 53' 22" west for 4 feet to TPOB; thence <br />continue South 34° 53' 22" west for 66 feet; thence north 60° 33' 3" west for <br />105.48 feet; thence north 34' 53' 22" cast for 80 feet; thence south 55° 06' <br />38" east for 5 feet; thence South 34' 53' 22" west for 4 feet; thence south <br />55' 06' 38" east for 100 feet to the TPOB. <br />Mr. William Moore, representing Carruthers & Whitehead, slated they were <br />making reapplication of a previous request made in March 1969, and that they <br />would conform to all city requirements. <br />Some of the neighbors of the area expressed their desire to have only two (2) <br />building lots on the proposed area instead of three (3). <br />-1- <br />
