Summary <br />2524 Walnut Avenue <br />Owner: Estate of Ralph rifiel.d <br />On May 8, 1979 we received a complaint from the owner of the <br />adjoining property that the house at 2524 �4alnut was vacant and <br />being vandalized by children. An inspection of the site revealed <br />that the structure has a sub-standard:foundation, wiring system, <br />plumbing system, and heating system. In addition�the interior <br />�alls, floors, �nd ceilinqs are deteriorated as well as t:.� siding, <br />roof, tritR and windows. The lot is overgrown and full or debris. <br />A letter,sent to the taxpayer of the propertyjwas returned as not <br />forwardable. <br />On June 10, 1979 we advertised a Notice of Abatement. There was <br />no response to this notice. <br />A Building Gfficials hearing was conducted on June 18, 1974, <br />notice o£ which was posted upon the property. There was no <br />response from the o�aner or his agent at the hearing. <br />On June 29, 1979 we contacted a brotlier of the owner, Mr. Carl <br />Fifield, and he stated that Mr. Ralpn Fifield is deceased, and the <br />rest of the family does not care about the property as it is not <br />worth anything. We providEd b1r. Carl Fifield with a copy of our <br />correction letter and informed him of our intent to abate the <br />structure. <br />
