March 3, 1969 (Continued) <br />z63i <br />It was moved by Mr. Champion, seconded by Mr. Cronin and unanimously <br />carried to grant the requested variance because two (2) building sites of <br />9, 600 sq. ft. each had already been subdivided from the original tract and <br />structures placed on them and the location of the third house on the original <br />tract clearly indicated the intent to retain a fourth building site subject to the <br />following: <br />1. Any residence constructed shall not exceed twenty (20) feet above <br />the average elevation at the foot of the building. <br />Z. The residence shall. conform to all City standards. <br />3. The residence shall be in keeping with the residences of the <br />surrounding area. <br />HEARING held on the application of Scrr:• Smith, 19400 - 2nd Avenue, Bothell <br />for a. variance from the ordinance and pc,mission to utilize a tract of land <br />with only 26. 79 feet of frontage abutting a public dedicated street in an R-2, <br />Single Family High Density Residence Zone which requires a minimum of <br />fifty (50) feet,of frontage abutting a public dedicated street. This tract of <br />laud meets the square footage area requirement of the R-2 Zon,;. Portion of <br />Lot 20, Everett Dells. (East of Glenwood Ave. , West of Sealmrst and South <br />of Elma Street) <br />It was moved by Mr. Ingram, seconded by Mr. Champion and unanimously <br />carried to postpone the rendering of a decision on Mr. Smith's application <br />until the applicant or his engineer submit to the Board a street improvement <br />plan which will be acceptable to the City Engineer and Planning Director <br />showing a cross section and profile including drainage and access for sewer <br />construction; this program should be presented to the Board by April 7, 1969. <br />HEARING held on the application of the Texaco Oil Company, 2500 - 16th Ave. <br />S. W., Seattle, Washington, requesting a variance from the ordinance and <br />permission to raise an existing double faced plastic electric advertising sign <br />from a maximum height of 35 feet as now permitted in a B-2, Community <br />Shopping Zone, to a maximum height of 60 feet above ground elevation. Loca- <br />tion of said sign to remain the same. N. E. Corner of Everett Avenue and <br />Walnut. <br />It was moved by Mr. Cronin, seconded by Mr. Dickson and carried unanimously <br />that if the Planning Commission sees fit to recommend to the City Council a <br />change in height limitation in this particular zone within the near future the <br />applicant (Texaco Oil Company) could resubmit and be reconsidered at no addit- <br />ional cost to the applicant. <br />On motion the meeting adjourned at 9:25 p. in. , March 3, 1969, Next meeting <br />will be held April 7, 1969. j <br />Secretary <br />
