We kiave entered into a purchaee and eale agreement for the <br /> purchaee of a home located at 2208 Rucker Ave. currently owned by <br /> Kenneth and Renee Petereon. They have allowe3 us some time to <br /> determine the feaeilbily of operati.ng the home ae a ^bed and <br /> breakfaet" facilty beginning thia summer. Our preliminary <br /> discueaione with city etaff hae uncovered that the property ie <br /> currently zoned R-4, which we underetand will allow outright the <br /> proposed uee. Our primary concern aeide from the zoning iseue ie <br /> to determine the types of requiremente which the City may require <br /> as conditions of operation. We are specifically concerned with <br /> iteme euch ae water and eewer, building code iteme, fire marehal <br /> requiremente or any other which we may be involved with from the <br /> City's perepective. i ahould also let you know that an in-ground <br /> awimming pool exista in the back yard and we are aware that the <br /> Dept. of Ecology covere health and eafety iseuea for public use of <br /> a pool. We will also handle food handling and preparation <br /> requiremente through the Snohomieh Health Dietrict ae we underetand <br /> they have juriadiction in these areae. <br /> Interestingly, the home was built in 1908 by one of Snohomiah' s <br /> pioneer familiea, the Blackmane. The top etory of the home <br /> containe four bedrooms which will be used ae guest rooms for the <br /> B�B. Main level includes an office, living and dining rooms uaed <br /> for guesta and food service. A kitchen area, bath and two <br /> additional bedroome are located on the main floor which will be <br /> used for our personal living accomodatione. The basement area will <br /> be reatored as a game room, entertainment center, exercise and <br /> sauna roome. A bath and sewing/laundry room also are located on <br /> this lower level. Accese to the pool area in the rear of the home <br /> is from this lower level (entertainment room) . The outaide pool <br /> area will be landscaped and made into a aummer time activity center <br /> for our family and gueate. The garage located in the back yard ie <br /> no longer functional and will be lowered and remodeled into a two <br /> car garage for ourselvea and will also aerve as a aun deck for <br /> gueate. Every effort will be taken to maintain the anc�itectural <br /> character of the hietoric home in the garage remodeling. <br />
