According to the Everett Police, this house is a dcug house. The owner of the property has attempted to remove the squatters from tttis building. His attempts have failed. In talking with the owner on Aug. 29th, he indicated that he wants to demolish several of the buildings in this block for future development. At 9:00 AM on Aug. 29th, two Officers from the Everett Police Dept. requestod tLat I perfocm an inspecdon of the building and post it Illegal to Occupy if I found it to be dangerous. I agreed to do so and they escotted me during the inspection. I did not go inside the building but determined from ezterior appearance the building is in fact in very poor wndition, is clangerous to the occupants the surrounding pmperties, and proceeded to post the building Illegal to Occupy. I talked with the owc�er of the property and encouraged him to remove the tras or at least the limbs of the trees in ftom of this hot�se and expose as much of the house as possible. I requested the owner to perform this task during the next week. I also advised him that I would be on vacation that week and would be in rouch with him upon my return on Sept. 8th. I conducted an inspection today and noted that the trees were still in place, some of the stolen vehicles in the back of the house had ban removed along with a travel trailer. I talked with the owner today az►d asked what was happening with this pmperty. He said that the HazMat had been performed on Sept. Sth, he was awaiting that report, most of the people in the building has left after I posted it, and he hoped to have the demo permits in hand by the 25th of Sept. with the building demolished in eai4y Oct. I will wntinue to monitor this pretty close considering the dangetous condidons. md:repon
