Ducts: As we discussed, those ducts which have openings in the conidor
require a fire damper at the mint where they penetrate the corridor. Those
ducts that transition to a plastic material also need fire dampers or the plastic
could be changed to metal.
2. Penetrations: Doors opening into the wrridors require gaskets to prohibit
smoke migration.
3. Atrium: The windows between the atrium and the office space require wire
glass or a system of sprinklers and gaskets described in the enclosed. code
exempt.
4. Exit Doors: The corridor doors within the office must be self closing. Hinges
are available witl a self closing spring. The one door (easterly) which swings
in is supposed to swing inro the atrium. Given the width of the walkway this
requiremen[ will not be required.
I apologize for the tardy response and follow-up. If you have any questions please feel
free to call me at 259-8810.
Sincerely,
Tim Tyler
Building Official
.;nmran
CITY OF EVERETT•3200 Cedar Street • Everett.
