The following are some <br />of the deficiencies noted during the inspection: <br />1. The front steps are deteriorated, have no hand rail, and are <br />inadequate in rise, creating a hazard to the occupants and the <br />public. <br />2. The front porch is deteriorated, rotted, missing boards and may <br />endanger the life, limb, health, safety, and welfare of the <br />occupants or the public. <br />3. The window is broken in the large bedroom. All broken glazing <br />shall be replaced and all bedrooms shall have at least one <br />operable window for emergency escape or rescue in accordance with <br />the Uniform Building Code. <br />4. Kitchen cook stove and other appliances do not work due to <br />electrical deficiencies. The tenant claims that there have been <br />power surges in the electrical system. <br />5. The drain t-ap for the kitchen sink is not vented. S traps for <br />drain systems are prohibited. <br />6. Leaky faucets in the kitchen and bathroom shall be repaired. <br />7. There is rusty water coming from the hot water tank. <br />8. The bathroom sink does not drain. <br />9. The water supply fixture in the bathtub is illegal. The faucets <br />are installed below the water level of the tub and may allow <br />siphonage of water from the tub back into the potable water <br />system. <br />10. The. drain system for the plumbing in the bathroom is not vented <br />correctly. When the bathtub is being drained, the water level in <br />the toilet rises, and the toilet is then flushed to prevent an <br />overflow. <br />
