With the addition of the following, the pans are approved. <br />1. The Health District operating permit application process must be completed prior to opening for <br />business. <br />2. An additional handwash sink is required. The best location would be as near as possible to the slicing <br />counter. A handsink will not be required if the door leading to the food prep area is removed. <br />3. A reduced pressure backflow prevention device is required at the end of the copper water pipe serving <br />the pop dispensing system prior to the carbonation device. <br />4. The food preparation sink must be listed by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF), and have at <br />least one integral drainboard. The food preparation sink must be indirectly drained. <br />5. Storage refrigerators must be listed for the storage of potentially hazardous foods. <br />6. Extra wall protection is required on walls behind sinks and food preparation tables. A 16 inch high <br />backsplash of plastic laminate, fiberglass reinforced plastic or equal is acceptable. Plastic coated <br />hardboard is not acceptable. <br />7. Please contact the Food Program <br />office at least one week in advance to schedule an appointment.
