t <br />Conclusions: The proposed signs and logo promote identification of the company. They are <br />more in scale with the building size and setback than the signs permitted in the Zoning Code. <br />3. Whether the proposed plan is aesthetically superior to what could be installed under <br />existing criteria in this section. <br />Findings: Three freestanding signs are permitted by the zoning code. One sign is permitted for <br />every 300 feet of street frontage. Up to three signs totaling 225 square feet are permitted. There are <br />only two freestanding signs that are 72 square feet each. <br />Conclusions: There is one less freestanding sign than allowed by the zoning code. <br />DECISION: The Planning Director approves Tube Art's request to install two 24 square feet, BECU <br />signs subject to the following conditions: <br />The new signs must receive appropriate sign permits. <br />The Planning Director's decision may be appealed.
