Amk <br />February 5, 1973 <br />The regular meeting of the City of Everett Board of Adjustment was held at <br />7:30 p. in. , February 5, 1973, in the City Hall Council Chambers, City Hall, <br />Everett, Washington. <br />Mr. Graff presided. Mr. Ingram, Mr. Cronin and Mr. Cliampion were <br />present. <br />The reading of the minutes of the January 8, 1973 meeting was dispensed with. <br />A hearing was held on the application of the Everett Trust and Savings Bank, <br />2817 Colby Avenue, Everett, for a variance from Sec. 15. 04. 190 (E. C. C. <br />Zoning Ordinance), Off -Street Parking and Loading requirements for permis- <br />sion to construct a branch office and off-street parking area with six (6) less <br />parking spaces than required by Ordinance. <br />ALSO: a variance from Sec. 15. 04. 130 (Zoning Code) B-2 Community Shopping <br />Zone, Sub -section r - Height Limitation, for permission to exceed the maximum <br />height of thirty-five (35) feet by three (3) feet plus an additional ten (10) feet for <br />air conditioning units and a cooling Lower. <br />Mr. Botesch, Architect, representing the Bank, stated there will be an addit- <br />ional backup space for approximately twenty (20) automobiles for the drive-in <br />portion of the bank. <br />There was no objection from the audience. <br />After visual observation of the subject property, and considering all the facts, <br />it was moved by Mr. Cronin, seconded by Mr. Ingram, and unanimously <br />carried to grant the applicant's request for the following reasons: <br />1. The business building will not be detrimental to the area as there will <br />be no views that will be obstructed, and the empty lot will be visually <br />improved. <br />2. The granting of the variance will not adversely affect the comprehensive <br />general plan. <br />A hearing was held on the application of E. Dale Cox, 801 Pecks Drive <br />(Peck's Grocery), Everett, for a variance from Section 15. 04. 060 E. C. C. <br />(Zoning Code) General Provisions - Non -Conforming Uses, for permission <br />to construct a ten (10) foot by ten (10) foot meat cooler on a non -conforming <br />grocery store. <br />Mr. Cox had the following statements to make: <br />1. State law no longer allows pre-packageet meats. <br />2. A petition was 519 signatures approving this addition was submitted. <br />
