Work authorized in this alley was done under the <br />jurisdiction of the Engirering Department and Inspection Department. The <br />Street Department had no responsibility for quality or completion of the <br />sewer or alley grade change project. <br />Since the sewer excavation caved in and the new alley was not compacted, <br />I feel the Engineering Department still has 100% control of this alley <br />project and is responsible for the completion of the project including <br />any damage, towing bills, etc. All of this alley project is in conjun•_Lion <br />with the Totem Tilangle building project.
