The low heiaht limilalion also restricts
the functionality and utility of the garage. With limited height, vehicles such as RV's and large trucks must be
parked either on the ower's property or on the street because the limited sized garage is too low to allow
clearance. For example, in the instant case the P,pplicants cannot buiid a 17 foot high garage, so their P.V will
remain parked on-site and visible lo the neighbors.
While the intent of the height standards is to iimit "mega-size" garages, the restrictions limit some reasonable
structures from being developed on the property. A 15 foot height limit for all detached slructures in all zones
wilhin the City of Everett creates some inequitable and rather harsh results. It is recommended that the Ciry
review this ordinance to detertnine if the standard should remain within the City of Everetl or some modificalion
be made.
C.:/
