The figures :�re based on 10° <br />outdoor and 70° indoor design temperaiures and a 5,500 degree day year, which <br />is average for [his area. <br />It should be recognized [hac this cost estimate is a customer service and not a <br />guaranteed or warran[ed figure. Ho.�ever, our past experience, based upon meter <br />records, has shown actual costs are generally ver�r close to [he calculated costs, <br />depending on the living habits cf the occupan[s. <br />If the installation of electric baseboard heat is desired, we recomm��nd the <br />ins[allation of lo�i-density units with wat[ages not exceeding 250 per lineal <br />foot in accordance with the I�ational Electrical Manufacturers Association <br />Standards. For [he best opera[ion, basebo�rd units should be ins[alled with <br />backing insulation [o insure an airtight fit with the wall. <br />If an electric furnace is desired, the District recommends the installation of <br />a balanced warm air supply system �aith dampers and a re[urn aEr sys[em which <br />witl return as close to 1003; of ai! rhe furnace fan CFM output as possible. The <br />District further recommends all duc[ work ins Wiled in non-heated spaces be <br />adequately insula[ed.
