These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions, or additions, may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the 2003 International Building Code, as amended by the State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code, 2001 Edition, unless stated otherwise. In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of drawings reflecting the corrections requested. 1. The plans should indicate the species and grades of all framing members. The plans should indicate the requirement for pressure tre2tment of all framing members. 3. The deck is required by code to support a live load of 40 psf in addition to its own dead weight. The allowable bending stress of the 6 x 12's will be exceeded for most grades of lumber under the proposed configuration. Upon resubmittal of the drawings, your application will be given priority and plan review will recommence. All required submittals shall be of sufficient detail and contain sufficient information to ensue that the proposed structure will be constructed in compliance with all adopted codes.
