All structural fill underlying building areas <br />should bc compacted lo at Icust 95 percent of its maeimum dry density. Maximum dry density, in this <br />repon, refers ro lhat density ns deterniined by tiic ASTM ll 1557 cumpaction test prceedure. Thc <br />moisturc contcnl of thc soils to be compacted should be within nboul 2 percent of optimum, so that a <br />rcadily compac�able condition esists.
