beavers (Aplodontia rufa), raccoons (Procyon lotor�, shrews (Sorex spp.), skunks <br /> (Mephitis spp.), squirreis (Tamiasciurus douglasi�), and Virginia opossums (Didelphis <br /> virginiana). Although no egg masses, juveniles, or adult amphibians were observed <br /> during the field survey, some species are expected to occur within the wetlarids or <br /> adjacent habitats. The expected amphibian species include the pacific tree frog (Hyla <br /> regilla), the bulifrog {Rana catesbeiana), and the northwestern satamander(Ambystoma <br /> gracile gracile). These lists are not intended to be alf-i�clusive, and may omit some <br /> bird, mammal, or amphibian species that utilize the site. No ihreatened or endangered <br /> species are associated with this site. <br /> Along with the functions and values mentioned above, wetlands often provide additionai <br /> functions in western Washington such as aesthetic value, recreational opportunities, <br /> and educational tools. <br /> The proposed remodel and expansion of the existing house will maintain the existing <br /> condition of the subject site and will have no impact on the overall level of functions and <br /> values provided by Seahurst Glenhaven Creek or its associated wetland and buffer. <br /> USE OF THIS REPORT <br /> This Critical Area Study is supplied to Bret 8 Julie Johnson as a means of determining <br /> on-site wetland conditions, as required by City of Eve:ett durin� the permitting process. <br /> This report is based largely on readiiy observabie conditions and, to a lesser extent, on <br /> readily ascer!ainable conditions. No atlempt has been made to determine hidden or <br /> concealed conditions. <br /> The laws applicabie to wetiands are subject to varying interpretations and may be <br /> changed at any time by the courts or legislative bodies. This report is intended to <br /> provide information deemed relevant in the applicanYs attempt to comply with the laws <br /> now in effect. <br /> The work for this report has conformed to the standard of care employed by wetland <br /> ecologists.
