Wilbur: The other day you read to me a letter from Mr. Reid Shockey requesting that the Board hold open the date for the reconsidera- tion hearing on an indefinite basis while Jade Construction pursues other remedies it may have to it's difficulty. You also advised that the next meeting that the Board would be able to co��sider this request at would be October 6th. You further advised that in order to hold the reconsideration hearinq on the now scheduled date of October 13th, you would have to Uegin your notice requirement process during the latter part of September. I would like you to make known to the members of the Board that I am opposed to putting this reconsideration hearing in an indefinite status. My clients are anxious to get this matter r_solved and the request of Mr. Shockey merely served to delay the matter further. If the applicant does ;�ot wish to have the hearina held on October 13th, then I think that the applicant should with- draw it's request for reconsideration altogether and the original decision of the Board should stand. Alternatively, the reconsidera- tion hearing should be held on the 13th. I would hope you woul.d be able to contact each of the 6oard mambers and convey to them my sentiments on this matter so that the publication requirements could be met for the October 13th heariiig should the Board members decide to proceed.
