Reinforced concrete inspec[lon and material testing shall be <br /> made in accordance With ACI Manual of Concrete Inspectlon, and <br /> appropriate American Saciety fer Testing and Materials (ASTM) <br /> standarde. <br /> 2. Keep record of the general progtess of the vork including <br /> quality and quan[ity of concrete, materials, the mixing, placing <br /> and curing of concre[e, and the placing of reinforcing steel. <br /> b. Keep record of [emperatures and of the pro[ection given [o <br /> concrete when temperatute falls below 40 degrees F, or rises <br /> above 90 degrees F. <br /> c. Keep required records available [o Owner and Architec[ during <br /> progress of the work, and for two yeats thereafter. <br /> i <br /> � 3. Test Contractor's materials foc compliance With specifica[ions. <br /> � Review and check Contractor's proposed mix designs. Conduct <br /> strength tests of concrete in accordance with the f.olloti�ing <br /> i procedures: <br /> a. Secure composi�e samples from [he same batch in accordance With <br /> "Method of Sampling Fresh Concrete", ASTM C172-71 (1977). <br /> Ib. Mold three specimens from each sampie in accordance with '?tethod <br /> of Making and Cuting Concrete Compression and Flexure Specimens <br /> Iin [he Field" A51M C31-69 (1975), and cure under standard <br /> � moisture and temperature conditions. <br /> c. Test two specimens at 28 days, one a[ seven days, in accotdance <br /> with "Method of Test for Compressive Strength of Molded Concrete <br /> Cylinders" ASTM C39-72.
