SECTION 151C0 <br /> EASIC MATERIALS AtiD NETHCDS <br /> i <br /> FkRT 1 CEtdERAL <br /> 1 .01 SCGPE <br /> This section contazns the general requirements for materials and <br /> � installation metnods which apply to all sections of Division 16. All <br /> materials and equipment shall be installed in canformnnce with the <br /> Imanufacturer's installatioa instructions ^.ad U.L. requirements. <br /> PART 2 PRODUCTS <br /> I 2.01 GENERAL <br /> A. All materials must be nex, free from defects and not less than the <br /> quelity herein specified. They shall be designed to insure <br /> fsatisYactory operation and operation life in the environmental <br /> i conditions which Will prevail xhere tl�ey are being installed. <br /> H. Each type of materials furnished shall be of the same make and shall <br /> ! be of the standard products of manufacturera regularly engaged in the <br /> production of such materials and shall be the r�anufacturer's lateat <br /> standard design. <br /> I C. All materials installed �hall have been tested and listed by <br /> Underxriters Laborntories or other approved testing organization and <br /> I shall be so labeled unless otherNise permitted by the Code Inspector <br /> (AHJ) and the Architect. <br /> 2.02 SUBSTITUTION OF MATERIALS <br /> IListing of materials is not intended to prevent listing of other <br /> material provided the substitute product is submitted for listing and <br /> I has been reviewed and listed in accordance with the folloaing <br /> Substitution of Materials requirements. <br /> 1 . Listing Prior to Bid Opening: <br /> Listir.g of products other than those specified will be issued <br /> I after the folloxing requirements are met: <br /> Requests shall clearly indicate the product fully complies xith <br /> � contract documents and shall be neatly marked to clearly define <br /> � and describe the product for which listing is requested. Samples <br /> shall be aubmitted if requested. Reque^ts shall be received <br /> I, prior to 10 days before bid opening. Requests containing <br /> insufficient information to confirm compliance xith contract <br /> dacuments will not be considered. <br /> � <br /> 2. After Award of Contract: <br /> �ubstitution of products will be considered after award ef <br /> cantract only under the :ollowing conditions: <br /> a.
