Field bends <br /> of non-metallic conduit shall be limited to less than 29 degrees and <br /> shall be formed only rrith man�facturer' s recommended heater. All <br /> I ;actory elbocrs shall be ri.gid steel. Risers at pole bases and stub <br /> ups shall be rigid steel. <br /> 3,02 �ACEWAY INSfALLAT?ON ' <br /> IA. Repair all rigid steei conduit abrasions xith pvc base paint. <br /> B. Arrange and slope raceways that will enter building to drain away from <br /> I building. <br /> C. Provide marker tupe over all underground racexays. Marker tape ahall <br /> I read "caution - electric line buried below� ae manufactured by terra <br /> tape or eccepted equal. Marker tape shall be installed 1 '-0" belou <br /> grade. <br /> I D. Install underground raceways a minimum of 24�� below final grade (36" <br /> on public property) unless otherwise noted or required. <br /> I E. Raceways to be encased in concrete shall be anchored to prevent <br /> floating during pour. <br /> I 3.03 PULL CORDS <br /> Provide a nylon pull cord in all raceway greater than 25 feet in <br /> length With three feet extra cord at botii ends. <br /> I 3.04 PULL BORSS <br /> p. Pull boxes shall be installed as shown, or as necessary to facilitate <br /> pulling of wire and to limit the nubmer of bends xithin code <br /> 1 requirements. Bozes shall be permanently accessible and shall be <br /> pinced only at locations epproved by the Architect. <br /> I B. The draxings do not neceasarily shox every pull or junction box <br /> required. The Contractor is nermitted to add any boxes deemed <br /> necessary. <br /> I C. Pull boxes shall be set in place on a 3�� sand bed. Coverplates shnll <br /> be flush to, and match the slope of, the final surface grade. <br /> I D. Provide plastic, plank and earth cover at each pull boz as required in <br /> Section 16106 for vaults and manholes. <br /> I 3.05 LIGHTING ST ANDARD BASES <br /> p. Provide anchor bolt template of 3�4�� exterior plywood to position <br /> bolts during concrete pour.
