Subsurface Investigation, Section 02010 <br /> 2. Earihwork, Section 02200 <br /> g, Work consists of clearing irees, brush and grubbing of root systems. <br /> 1.02 PROTECTION <br /> A. Roads and Walks: Keep roads and walks free of dirt and debris at all times. <br /> B. Utility Lines: Existing utility lines indicated or locotions of which ore made <br /> known to ihe Contractor prior to clearing �and grubbing), and ihat are <br /> indicated to remain, sholl be protected from darnage, and if damaged, shall <br /> be repaired. If utility lines that are not indicated or that }he Contractor is <br /> not aware of are encountered or damoged, the Architect shall be notified <br /> immediately. When utility lines that are to be removed are encountered <br /> within ihe area of operations, Contractor shall notify the Architect in ample <br /> time to minimize interruption of the service. <br /> C, Blosting: The use of explosives will not be permitted. <br /> PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> 2.01 MATERIALS <br /> IJone <br /> PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> 3.01 Areas To De Cleared: As shown and noted on ihe consiruction plans, varying <br /> degrees of clearing and grubbing will occur in different areas. The <br /> Coniractor shall be held responsible for the activities of his workmen and <br /> the protection of trees to remain is paramount. <br /> A. Completed Clearing and Grubbing: in ihe building areo and mass grading <br /> areas, all organic material shall be removed. <br /> p. Excess Material Mounding Areas: In these areas, all trees flagged by the <br /> Special Inspector sholl be protected.
