Additional requiremencs for curing in cold weather may be found in Section 3-17.9 of <br /> these Specifications. <br /> 3-19 CEMENT CONCRETE DRIVEWAY <br /> 3-19.1 DESCRIPT'ION <br /> This work shall consist of cement concrete driveway and alley returns consnvcted at tho locations shown <br /> on the drawings and where directed by the engincer, and shall be in accordance with these Specifications, <br /> the WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications and Standard Plan Nos. 307, 308 and 309. <br /> Type 1 driveways should only be used where there is likely to be limited swcmwater runoff in the gutter <br /> line or adequate drainage farilities exist to prevent street stormwater from flowing onto adjacent <br /> properties. <br /> 3-19.2 MA1'EkIALS <br /> Materials shall meet the requirements of the following sections of WSDOT/APWA Standard <br /> Specifications: <br /> Portlaz� Cement 9-01 <br /> . Fine Aggregate 9-03 <br /> Coarse Aggregate 9-03 <br /> Joint Materials g-p4 <br /> �ring and Admixtures 9-23 <br /> The concrete mix shall be as specified for Class 3000 and the slump of the concrete shall not excced 3 <br /> inches. <br /> A minimum of 2 inches of Cnuhed Surfacing Top Course s6a11 be compacud to 95% maximum density <br /> prior to any placement of concrete. <br /> 3-19.3 CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS <br /> 3-19.3(1) GENERAL <br /> No driveway approach shail project lmyond the extension of the side property line to the curb, unless the <br /> owner of the adjaceat property is a casigner of the driveway permit. <br /> There must be at least 20 feet of full height curb between driveways serving aay o�properry frontage. <br /> 'The city engineer shall have the authoriry to restrict the number, size and location of access driveways. . <br /> There must be at least 6 feet of fuil height curb between driveways on adjacent lots. <br /> Driveway locations, lengths, etc. aze further clarified in the Everett Municipal Code a� must conform <br /> accordingly. In critical on-sueet parking amas, additional off-strat pazking space(s) are required for tLe <br /> on-strcet spaces eliminated by any driveway(s). <br /> Driveway aprons shall be cot�structed per Standard Plan Nos. 307, 308, or 309 as applicable.
