This report presenu
the resulu of our eld exploration, selective laboratory tests, and engineering analyses. The
purpose and scope of our study was outlined in our November 22, 1988 proposal.
I Our site study indicates that below a two-inch asphalt concrete, the site is underlain by a
competent overconsolidated silry clay which was encountered in all exploration pits.
I The proposed day care center building facility may be adequately supported by continuous
perimeter wall footing and conventional spread footings for the interior columns. Footings
bearing on competent soil can be slesigned using a maximum allowable soil bearing pressure
f two thousand (2000) pounds per square foot (psfj.
These recommendations, along with other geotechnically-related aspects of the project are
discussed in more detail in the text of the attached report.
We appreciate this opportuniry to be of service to you on this project. We look forward to
working with you in the future phases as the project comes to fruition. In the meantime,
should you have any questions about the content of this repon, or if we can be of further
assistance, please call.
Very truly yours,
EARTH CONSULTANTS, INC.

Glen iv1ann, P.
