PERTEET ENGINEERING 35°
Civll nd Tnnsporqtlon Consultants p06) 252-733
2907Yx Hewitt Avenue
Everett,WA 98201
 June 5 , 1989
I
Tom Harker, CPA
Vice President for Administrative Services
Everett Community College
801 Wetmore Avenue
Everett, WA 98201-1327
Derr Tom:
The City of Everett has requested that replacPment parking be
found for the 49 apaces directly lost by the day care
conatruction, and an additional sllowance for day care ataff
parking. Under the Eve.ett 2oning Code, I believe that thc
requirement of three spnce6 plus one space for each three
employees is appropriate. Assuming 16 employeea, we will need an
additional 8 epacee, for a total requirement of 57 apacee.
We investigated the four obvioua csmpus sitea where additional
parking could be developed:
1 . On-street parking, east aide of Wetmore from the exist;ing day
care center to the entrance to Olympus Hall. 13 Spacs.
2 . Existing day care center site (Annex 1 ) 20 sPacea.
3 . Use the gravel lot at the end of the Oukes Street cul-de-sac
near tlie Whittier Elementary School foi assigned staff parking.
28 spaces (gravel ) .
4 . Remove portables PTG and PTF1. This aite cnn be developed to
provide 32 spacea (gravel ) or 35 spaces (paved► .
Developing the first three optiona would provide 61 additional
spaces, and wuuld represent replacement for the parking lost by
the new day-care facility.
Zo
: £
7U
