v <br /> a <br /> er .- <br /> 1 4110 I I I I Vi. j7 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4752 <br /> A RESOLUTION adopting the 1999—2005 Parks & Recreation Department <br /> Comprehensive Plan <br /> WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department 1992— 1998 Comprehensive Plan is <br /> scheduled to expire on July 19, 1999; and <br /> WHEREAS, a new plan and public review process has been completed to update the <br /> Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan must be updated every five years to be in <br /> compliance with its funding agency, the Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation <br /> (IAC), and every six years to comply with the Growth Management Act; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Parks Department will use the Comprehensive Plan to guide the <br /> department over the next six years; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Parks Commission approved the Comprehensive Plan unanimously on <br /> December 8, 1998, and requests the City Council to do the same; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Parks Commission, in conjunction with the Parks & Recreation <br /> Department, shall administer the Comprehensive Plan and have the discretion to make <br /> annual minor modifications to the Capital planning elements for acquisition, <br /> rehabilitation, and development of projects; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF EVERETT that: <br /> The 1999-2005 Parks & Recreation Department Comprehensive Park Plan which is <br /> attached hereto and incorporated herein by -ference is hereb .do I ted. <br /> � .(..moi/ ./ Il/ <br /> +ouncilperson Introducing Resolution <br /> Passed and approved this 2 8th day of April, 1999. <br /> �- ____ ___ // c <br /> ouncil President <br />
