om <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4750 <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing application for funding assistance to the Interagency <br /> Committee for Outdoor Recreation as provided by the Youth Athletic Facilities <br /> Account Grant Program (YAFA) for funding of youth athletic field rehabilitation. <br /> WHEREAS, under the provisions of the Youth Athletic Facilities Account Grant Program <br /> assistance has been authorized and made available to aid in financing the cost of <br /> athletic field development for parks and outdoor recreational facilities for local public <br /> agencies; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett considers it in the best public interest <br /> to seek funding to develop new Little League fields; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT that: <br /> 1. The Mayor be authorized to sign a formal application to the Interagency Committee <br /> for Outdoor Recreation for funding assistance in the amount of $300,000 for new Little <br /> League fields in Southwest Everett. <br /> 2. Any fund assistance so received be used in the development of the youth athletic <br /> fields. <br /> 3. $300,000 be authorized and appropriated as a source of matching revenue in the <br /> 1999 City of Everett budget from "CIP" revenues as the local share of the YAFA <br /> program. <br /> 4. The combined amounts above of $600,000 be authorized and appropriated as a <br /> source of revenue to, and as a form of expense for youth athletic field development <br /> projects and related expenses. <br /> 5. The City of Everett does hereby certify that the City is responsible to support all non- <br /> cash commitments to the local share should they materialize. <br /> 6. Any property developed with financial aid through the Interagency Committee for <br /> Outdoor Recreation be placed in use as an outdoor recreation facility and be retained in <br /> such use in perpetuity unless as otherwise provided and agreed upon by the City of <br /> Everett, City Council, the Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation and any <br /> affected federal agency. <br />
