E?ETT <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4733 <br /> A resolution for waiving the public bidding requirements and for the sole source purchase of 28 <br /> each 10" Red Valve Series 35-D diffuser check valves from Red Valve Company, Inc. <br /> Whereas, the Everett Water Pollution Control Facility needs to replace twenty-eight(28) <br /> duckbill type rubber check valves to maintain the integrity of the plant diffusers; and <br /> Whereas, the replacement valves must be the same type as those originally installed during Stage <br /> III construction; and <br /> Whereas, Red Valve holds the patent on this type of check valve; and <br /> Whereas, we can purchase direct from the manufacturer, Red Valve Company, Inc.; <br /> Now,therefore, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Everett that special market <br /> conditions legitimately limit this purchase to a single source.
