I researched our permit records and have determined that this work was in fact conducted without
required permits.
Additionally, it has been confirmed that the fence in question is located in the City right of way.
This morning the owner Jeffrey Gilan came to our office wanting to obtain permits retroactively for the work conducted
without permits.
Upon review by the applicable divisions we were able to issue permits to Mr. Gilan for this construction activity. A
public works permit was issued for the fence in the ROW. An electrical permit was issued for the applicable electrical
work. And a combination building permit for the other misc. work was issued.
Mr. Gilan is highly motivated to obtain the required inspection approvals he plans to try to close a sale of the property
this Friday.
Regards
Ted Budden
Chief Inspector
Everett Building Department
425.257 7271
1
