July 24, 2013 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 12:30 p.m., July 24, 2013, in the City Council Chambers of the Everett <br /> City Hall, Vice President Affholter presiding. Upon roll call it was found <br /> that Council Members Roberts, Murphy, Gipson, Bader, Stonecipher, and <br /> Affholter were present. Mayor Stephanson and Council Member Moore <br /> were excused. <br /> Council Member Roberts led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the July 17, 2013, Everett City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. Council Member Roberts abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson was excused. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Bader commented on the lack of bus schedules on the <br /> Everett City Transit buses. <br /> Council Member Roberts commented that on the July 11, 2013, the <br /> Sound Transit Board approved the ST3 consulting contract to begin <br /> looking at road and route alignments for travel from Lynnwood to Everett. <br /> He also commented on the completion of the Kimberly-Clark site <br /> demolition and inquired about the status of the contaminants and cleanup. <br /> Debra Bryant, Administration, said that she would contact city staff to <br /> obtain a current update. <br /> Council Member Gipson requested that agenda item no. 13 and no. 14 be <br /> moved from consent items to action items. He also inquired about the <br /> status of a future briefing regarding the taxi cab ordinance. Debra Bryant <br /> stated the council president had asked that the current ordinance be <br /> distributed to all council members along with a request for input. Council <br /> Member Gipson stated he had received the information. <br /> 198 <br />
