The purpose of the reinspection was to check your progress in correcti�g the viotations listed in the first inspection letter. We found some progress being made. The following items remain in need of attention: l . Seal with a fire-resistive material with a U.L. rating of one (1 ) hour, the fire escapes on the north end of the building so that both are separated from the drug store. ?. Repair the damaged gypsum wall board with a fire-resistive material equivalert to the surrounding surfaces as °oliows: a. boiler room holes in ceiling west side of boiler where the 2" copper pipe penetrates the ceiling 3. It is questionable that the netal clad door to JC Penney is one (1 ) hour rated. This metal clad door has cardboard boxes stacked against it on �he JC Penney sida. : wou'�i, recom�nend sealing this openiny with cement b'lock or ?nstalling and maintaining in the closed position, a fire door with a U.L, rating of one �1 ) hour, or equivalent. Said door is to have a self-closing and latching device. 4. Seal the hole(s) in the plaster with a fire-resistive materiai equivalent to the surrounding surfaces as follows: a. the vent from the stora,�e room to the main hall , across from Room 327, in the rear of the storage room, off the exit passage to the roof, on the third floor 5. Install and maintain in the closed position a fire door with a U.L. rating of one (1 ) hour, or equivalent. Said dnor is to have a self- closing and latching device as follows : a. the center fire escape on all floors b. from Room 635 to the north fire escape ' `
