July 23, 2009 <br />Hopkins Everett LLC <br />Building owner <br />500 South Myrtle S7eet <br />Seattle, WA 98108 <br />Re: New ordinance eKective September 1, 2009 <br />Dear building owner and/or tenant(s), <br />On June 10, 2009, the Everett City Council adopted Ordinance 3127-09, reguiating <br />exterior building minimum maintenance and street-level vacant commercial space in the <br />Central Business District (CBD). <br />The intent of the ordinance is to help protect the downtown streetscape and encourage <br />economic development in one of the City's important retail and business centers. This <br />ordinance establishes minimum maintenance requirements for sUuctures in the CBD in <br />an effort to keep the streetscape vibrant and attractive. <br />The ordinance becomes effective September 1, 2009. A(ull copy of the ordinance is <br />enclosed with this letter.
