July 23, 2009 <br />Mr. Jeffrey Hathaway and Ms. Sharon Zeh <br />Building owners <br />1024 Grand Avenue <br />Everett, WA 98201 <br />Re: New ordinance eHective September 1, 2009 <br />Dear building owner and/or tenant(s), <br />On June 10, 2009, the Everett City Council adopted Ordinance 3127-09, regulating <br />exterior building minimum maintenance and street-level vacant commerciai space in the <br />Central Business District (CBD). <br />Th�: intent of the ordinance is to help protect the downtown streetscape and encourage <br />eco��omic development in one of lhe City's important retail and business centers. This <br />ordinance establishes minimum maintenance requirements for structures in the CBD in <br />an effort to keep the streetscape vibrant and attractive. <br />The ordinance becomes eftective September 1, 2009. A full copy of the ordinance is <br />enclosed with this letter.
