. � � . <br />a File everett <br />FROM �rian Payne, Houeing Inepector �� <br />DATE July 29, 1988 <br />SUBIECT , 1710 - 32nd Street, CITY OFEVERETT EVEHETT WASHINGTON <br />Tenant Complaint <br />On this date, the tenant of 1710 - 32nd Street calleu me and complained <br />of the plumbing system in the upper unit leaking and causing damage to <br />[he ceiling of the bedroom in the unit he occupied below. <br />Mr. Hulet, the tenant requested ehat Z make aa inepection at 10:00 a.m., <br />I arrived at the premiees and Mr. Nulet tcok me [o the bedroom and <br />ehowed me tha ceiling which appeared to be moie•: irom water. He also <br />ehowed me water damage on another area of the cef.ling but it appeared to <br />be from a previoue leak and had eince been repiired as the celling ia <br />ti,at area, oppoeite the moet recent damage, was dry. <br />Mr. Holet then took me to the kitchen xhere he drex a glass of vater <br />from the kitchen aink. The xater wae clear but Mr. Hulet said that it <br />rae generally red and not fit for comaumption. I advised Mr. Hulet that <br />I could not make tt�at determination, that the Health Officer vas the <br />only one aho could determine if the xater wae potable or aot according <br />to the Uniform Houeing Code which I enforce. <br />Mr. Hubet indicated that there were zoning probleme and construction <br />problema and that he had talked with several city etaff inembers in an <br />attempt to get theae things corrected. Again, I advised Lim that I <br />could not make any determination on these iteme, the oeher etaff inembers <br />had to follox up on his complaints. <br />� 3462G <br />
