Feb. 12, 1968
1•ir. Frank Woltring
Planning Dept. , City Hall
Everett, Wash. 98201.
Dear Sir:
In regard to my buildings at 3515 Wetmore, I would like to
inform you that they have never been removed from Snohomish
County tax roll:,. Thir in ahparcn if contrary to your
information obtained from the Assessor's office, but the
simple truth is that they are assessed at s100. In view
of the current 25% ratio -this reflects a value of 16400. in
the eyes of the assessor. No doubt he could raise this at
any time, but such an actior, might be dificult to justify
on an improvement basis. I would interpret such an aatio n
as harrassment in an attempt to joggle me into a sudden
decidion that I might later regret.
I am not unconcerned about the appearance of my property at
this location, biit I doubt that.any great esthetic improvement
would accrue to this neighborhood if I removed these buildings
tomorrow. I recognize an appreciate your past lieniency
with my problem, but I also think that I am still entitled
to the same continued consideration because vandalismiandi
not my effort or lack of it -has made my property slightly
less acceptable than nearby unit::. This is an area Droblem
to Everett, not individual.
I think that with the coming improvement in he weather, I
can at least match the decor of the neighborhood with the
idea of trying to gain a little time to explore the poss-
ibility of properly developing this property. Would some
paint on the house enhance the appearance in ,your opinion?
I have no present plane of code compliance or occupancy.
Your ,
Arthur A. Jo son.
