The plumbing fixtures
have a requirement of 81 fixture units. Based on the UPC table for estimating demand load this
translates into a requirement of 60 gpm. This demand will require a 1%" meter (100 gpm nominal
capacity) for water supply to the units.
Fire flow demand could reach 120 gpm with 4 - 30 gpm heads flowing full. This demand would require
a 2" meter (160 gpm nominal capacity). Although this is significantly more than would normally be
designed for, I recommend going with the 2" meter.
If you have any further questions or I can be of any further assistance please call me at the above
numbers.
Rick Heide, P.E.
President
