WASIUNGTOH On July 14, 7972, I not-iced two derelict houses in the 52C0 block of i�etmore, between i•1er_more and Colby. .I mailed a letter to the owners at that time but did not receive a reply. A 14otice of Unsafe IIuildir.g was r�eiled to the owners on November 9, 197?. and the owners responded with an offer to deed the property to the city for a park. I notified the park of this and they indicated that they did not want the property. Shortly after that the oo�ners deede3 the property to a Rodney Haynee;, a neigl»or, and lie started to demolish one of the structures. rtr. Iiaynes stopped working on the str.ucture in the latter ��art of. 1973, and although I urged him along, he refused to cor�plete the job. I issucd a Dlotice of Unsafe IIuilding to 1•1r. liaynes an July 25, 1974 and f1r. Haynes contacted me on July :'7, 1974 to tell us that the property was sold at a tax sale. I then contacted the new o- ers, Air. P.ichard Olscn and Erick i,vist, and they indicated that � p would demoli.sh the buildings. I informed both ocancrs tha� th�>re was a tdotice of Unsafe Building pending on the property and that I would transfer it over to tltem. I ttien mail.ed the Notice to the o�oners on Januar.y 24, 1975. As neither owner re,ponded to the Notice I sche3uled a Building Officials ilearing and sent tlotice to both ocaners. g
