Kielow <br />5415 Wetrnore Ave. <br />Everett, WA 98203 <br />RE: Garage at 5415 Wetmore Ave. <br />Dear Mr. Kielow: <br />CCr��T'��p Il,�r� <br />z �3y 3�� �Q3 <br />An inspection of the garage on your property was conducted today and we would like <br />to thank you for placing a warning ribbon around the structure as requested. <br />Further review of city rccords indicate that you obtained a building permit on b4ay 19, <br />1995 for siding, rcofing, and an entry door on the garage. The work being conducted <br />on the garage requires submittal of plans. <br />'fhe north wall, which is the only wall remaining of the existing garage, and presently <br />braced in an upright position is considered dangerous pursuanl ro the Uniform Code fr�r <br />the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings. The wall is rotted, deteriorated, has become <br />detached from its footings, is inadequately supported, and ma� collapse and thereby <br />injure persons or damage property. Therefore, the wall shait be removed within 48 <br />hours of the service of this notice, or adequately supported until such a time as it is <br />repaired in accordance with the current Building Code. <br />Plans and specifications for this garage must be submitted and consuvction permits <br />obtained prior to continuing with the work. T'herefore, this letter is i�tended as <br />informational'and serves as a formal Stop Work Order, effective immediately, for the <br />work in question. <br />Information regarding permit application requirements, time frames and code <br />information may be obtained at 3200 Cedar Sueet, second floor or by telephone (259- <br />8810) between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. <br />The permit requirements are mandated by the Washington State Legislature and <br />enforced by the City of Everett.
