Addiuonal revisions or additions may 5e <br />required by other departrnents (such as Utilides, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the <br />1997 Uniform Building Code, as amended by the State of Washington and/or Washington <br />State Energy Code 1997 Edition, unless stated otherwise. <br />In order [or the processing of your application to cootinue, it will be necessary to provide <br />the Building Division with two complete new sefs o[ drawings reflecttng the corcections <br />requested. <br />Our records show a 936 s.f. house with an attached garage. We have no record of any <br />permits issued to convert the garage into living space. <br />When a permit is applied for there are several codes that apply to any project. For <br />example, a bedroom addition must meet the requirements of the Unifortn Building Code <br />(UBC), which include but are not limited to: <br />a) Minimum room dimensions (height, width, length). <br />b) Light and ventilation <br />c) Escape and rescuc <br />d) Smoke detectors <br />Other codes that apply to an addition of living space include the Washington State Energy <br />Code (WSEC), the WA.
